U.S. News & World Report has named Northbridge Medical Center a Best Regional Hospital for the ninth year in a row in its 2026-2027 rankings. The system received high-performing distinctions in cardiology, orthopedics, and pediatrics, with our Boston Main Campus singled out for performance in heart-failure care and total joint replacement.
Rankings are based on a blend of patient outcomes, safety scores, structural measures, and a survey of practicing specialists across the country. A high-performing designation goes to hospitals that score in the top 10% nationally on a procedure or condition.
"This recognition reflects the discipline of our clinical teams, especially through several years of unusual demand on the system," said Dr. Maria Alvarez, Chief Medical Officer. "We treat the ranking less as a trophy and more as a reminder of what we are accountable for."
