Northbridge Cambridge will once again host free skin-cancer screenings every Saturday in May. Visits typically last fifteen minutes and are open to anyone over the age of 18, with or without insurance.
"Our annual screenings consistently catch a handful of melanomas that would otherwise have been found much later," said Dr. Aisha Williams, who leads Northbridge's Mohs surgery program. "The biggest barriers to skin checks are cost and inconvenience. This program removes both."
Screenings will run every Saturday from May 4 through May 25, 9am to 1pm, at the Cambridge campus on 88 Brattle Street. No registration is required - patients are seen in order of arrival.
